This collective exists in order to imagine and influence a hopeful future for Churches of Christ.
We do this by offering three things:
Connection with others
Conversation that matters
Courage to lead

The Restoration Collective is a group of leaders from the Churches of Christ who want to see our movement flourish for the future. We are ministers, teachers, scholars, parents and grandparents who are all seeking to find the best way forward in light of the world we believe scripture calls into being. We are daring to imagine that God has given the local church an incredible mission to thrive in its context while being led by courageous leaders empowered by the Holy Spirit and the story of Jesus.

Not at all. In fact, one of the gifts of the collective is having a strong representation of shepherds, ministry leaders, scholars, and anyone from a local church who could benefit from being a part of the conversation. Basically if you are for a healthy future of the Churches of Christ this is the spot for you!

Absolutely.
In fact, last year at our inaugural gathering a few of our women remarked, “This is the first conference I have ever attended in the Churches of Christ where I felt like men and women were actually on equal ground.”
This fills us with joy.
Come and see for yourself.
Our tradition has a long way to go. But the Restoration Collective is committed to mutuality and equality — and it’s been that way from the start.

Nada.
Zilch.
Zero.
Nothing.

At this time, we gather on Zoom once a month with friends from across the U.S. and Canada, including regulars and first-timers. The Zoom meetings last no more than an hour, including time for prayer and spiritual formation, and then guided discussion in breakout rooms. The goal is to provide space for connection, conversation, and courage to lead.
Each November we gather in person for a two-day conference. This year we meet in Dallas on November 10-12, 2025.

Our agenda is simple: We want to encourage those who are looking for hope in Churches of Christ. We want to push against the cynicism flowing from the decline of attendance and the often-unhelpful measurements of church size and budgets. We want to offer a gospel way forward that we believe is filled with Spirit-led imagination. And we think that is best accomplished when all of God’s image-bearers are welcome to gather in humility with more questions than answers, seeking to become faithful disciples.
